Research on the removal of iron and manganese from water producedby coal-bed methane field by pozzolan ceramic filter
-
Abstract
in coal-bed methane produced water, the influences of pH, filter thickness, filtration rate and runningtime on the treatment effect was analyzed with simulated water. The effect of backwash was exploredwith raw water. The results show that the optimum pH is 8, and the removal rates of Fe and Mn are98.8% and 98.4%, respectively. The removal rates of iron and manganese are positively correlated withthe thickness of the filter material. The removal rates of iron and manganese for 40 cm and 60 cm thick⁃ness filters are relatively close, 97.1%~97.5% and 98.4%~98.8%, respectively. The removal rates ofiron and manganese are negatively correlated with the filtration rate, and the removal rates are similarwhen the filtration rates are 1 m/h and 2 m/h. For the raw water experiment, after operation for 12 h,the stability decreases, and the removal rates of iron and manganese decrease to 95.7% and 80.4%, re⁃spectively.
