Energy Environmental Protection is a peer-reviewed, bimonthly journal established in 1987. Supervised by the China Coal Technology & Engineering Group (CCTEG) and sponsored by the CCTEG Hangzhou Research Institute, the journal has grown into a significant platform for scientific discourse.

Under the distinguished leadership of Editor-in-Chief Xiang Gao—President of Dalian University of Technology and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering—the journal continues to expand its global influence. It is currently indexed in major international databases, including Scopus, DOAJ, CAS, VINITI (AJ), Ulrichsweb, and EuroPub.

Publication History

Founded in 1987, the journal was originally titled Coal Mine Environmental Protection (ISSN 1006-8759). In 2003, it transitioned to its current title, Energy Environmental Protection (ISSN 2097-4183).

In December 2014, the journal was recognized by the former State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPPRFT) as one of the inaugural academic journals in its first batch of official accreditations.
