In order to realize the sustainable development of the mining area, in view of the ecological environmental problems faced by the large coal mining areas, it was proposed to take the ecological civilization as the guide, the government as the leading force, and the coal enterprises as the main force and systematically build an ecological civilization construction system based on the characteristics of the mining area. This system includes the ecological economic system, the target responsibility system, the ecological safety system, the ecological civilization system, and the ecological culture. It is suggested to determine the key targets for each sub-system, and establish an evaluation plan to promote the accomplishment of these targets by the relevant responsible units according to the requirements of relevant laws and the actual situations of mining areas.
